Our Annual Picnic
Hello to our website visitors. The San Diego Prowlers are in our 72nd year. It is March and San Diego is already seeing signs of Spring. The carshow and event calendar is filling up.
Ken and Swede have been to both Yuma and Imperial this month. We have designated the TrueLine show next Sunday as a club event and are looking forward to the Del Mar GoodGuys event April 5-7.
We are still the unchallenged "oldest hot rod club" continuously corrupting young men since 1947 so please dig in to our webpages and visit the hot rod club that has been there the whole time. See the men, cars and their hobby from post WWII to the present that was the laboratory of power and style that helped shape today’s automobile.

San Diego Prowlers Hot Rod Club - Celebrate 60 Years of Hot Rodding
The San Diego Prowlers proved that even after 60 years of hot rodding, we can still throw a barn-burher of a car show. We also want to thank our sponsors who generously supplied items for our raffles and winning cars. Sponsors were:
Well as you can see, we were not the only ones who thought that a 60 year old hot rod club outing was a big deal, the 5 page spread in 'Street Rodder Magazine' says something about it. We want to thank everyone at Street Rodder for coming and spending a day with us at Bates Nut Farm. We love your magazine too!
Bruce Hamilton Donates Vintage Club Minutes
Special thanks goes to Inactive Prowler Bruce Hamilton, member #87. At our 60th Anniversary Picnic held in September 2007, Bruce presented to the club our club minutes from the years 1948 through 1951. Our living Charter Members have told us they believe minutes were not taken at meetings during our first year of 1947. Previously, we had in our possession club minutes dating back only to 1952. Included were minutes of the Russetta Timing Association meetings from 1948, (the Prowlers were members of the RTA back in the early days). It has been a real hoot reading the early minutes at our regular meetings after the previous meeting's minutes are read. Bruce is a true friend of the Prowlers and is interested in the continued success of the club. Oh, by the way, did I mention Bruce paid for the band at the picnic?
